Things are getting back to normal around the country and in the sports world as the United States recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. Full capacity crowds are returning in some places and there have been few COVID related postponements in sports since the start of April. When the Big Ten Conference makes its return to the gridiron this fall, things will look drastically different.
Along with fans in the stands, teams will play a scheduled 12 games and COVID postponements will be a thing of the past. That will lead to a heated race to get to Indianapolis for the conference title game.
Ohio State has won the last four league championships. The Buckeyes, who have had undefeated regular seasons in each of the last two campaigns, have soared in the last several years, establishing themselves as the cream of the crop in the Big Ten.
Will the Buckeyes be able to keep that going in 2021, or will someone be able to knock them off? We predicted when the first regular loss will occur -- if at all -- for each team in the conference:
