Well, that was a disappointment.
Years building towards this season, we finally get to know how everything is supposed to end, and then it’s just over.
No fanfare, no parade, no satisfaction of any kind. The climax is anything but.
Such was the 2020-21 Philadelphia Flyers season finale.
Cool, they won the last game. Unfortunately, it’s not the final act any of us were hoping for, and now we’re just left empty to contemplate the future.
Changes will be made this offseason. Perhaps major changes. And we’ll always be left wondering what if this group lived up to its potential.
