THE LAST DANCE 9 p.m. on ESPN. This has been a stressful year, so why not revisit happier times, such as, say, when Michael Jordan was playing with the Chicago Bulls? This 10-part documentary series was shot during the 1997-1998 season, when Jordan won his sixth and final title with the team. The show traces his career, before and after he became a force to be reckoned with on the court, and examines the triumphs and behind-the-scenes flare-ups during the heyday of the Bulls. It also gives considerable screen time to Jordan’s teammates Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman, and head coach, Phil Jackson. A number of big names weigh in, including Bill Clinton, Justin Timberlake and Barack Obama. The series debuts on April 19 with two episodes.
STUBER (2019) 6:20 p.m. on HBO; stream on HBO platforms. This buddy action movie follows in the footsteps of silly comedies like “Bad Boys” and “Rush Hour.” Kumail Nanjiani plays Stu, a sheepish Uber driver in Los Angeles whose mission in life is to get a five-star rating. His day from hell begins when he picks up Vic (Dave Bautista), a formidable police detective fresh out of eye surgery, who orders Stu to help him chase down a drug kingpin (Iko Uwais) who killed his partner. We’re reminded again and again that the two are polar opposites. But over a wild, bloody night, they learn a thing or two from each other. The film didn’t earn a five-star rating in critics’ eyes, but it did introduce a welcome collaboration between Nanjiani and Bautista. In her review for The New York Times, Manohla Dargis wrote that “the story is as ridiculous as the setup,” and that the movie “squeaks by on the charm of its two male stars, who handle the nonsense capably.”
THE LONGEST WAR (2020) 10 p.m. on Showtime. This documentary from the director Greg Barker and producers behind “Homeland” takes a critical look at the Afghanistan War, with firsthand accounts from intelligence officers and other American officials. It comes not long after the United States signed a deal to start withdrawing troops, a plan that signals a potential end to the 18-year conflict.

BOSCH Stream on Amazon. The sixth season of this police procedural, based on the books by Michael Connelly, is here, and it presents quite a challenge for the titular detective. Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) and his partner (Jamie Hector) are called on to investigate a case involving a medical physicist who was forced to steal radioactive material from a hospital — enough to poison everyone in Los Angeles — and was then killed. The sleuths race against the clock to prevent a tragedy while devoting time to past cases. Fans should indulge in the series while they can; the seventh season will be its last.
