Three people died in as many days last week in separate motorcycle crashes in Fremont County.
Fremont County Coroner Randy Keller said all three victims died at the scenes of their crashes.
Kevin Barnes, 65, of Cañon City died Wednesday when his motorcycle crashed at Ninth Street and Harding Avenue. Keller said neither speed nor drugs or alcohol appeared to have played a part in the crash.
Also on Wednesday, the Colorado State Patrol said 78-year-old Michael Mauldwin of Witchita Falls, Texas, died after his 2017 Harley Davidson drove off the right side of the roadway at milepost 16 on Colo. 9. The CSP said neither speed nor drugs or alcohol appeared to have played a part in the crash.
The CSP on Monday identified the woman who died Saturday after she collided with a Dodge pickup truck on Colo. 69 as Clara De La Torre, 48, of Santa Fe, N.M.
The CSP said the two-vehicle crash happened at 4 p.m. on Colo. 69 and CR 1A in Fremont County. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck, who are from Colorado Springs, were uninjured. Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in this crash.
