IRONWOOD — The U. S. Forest Service, Ottawa National Forest has announced road maintenance will occur on Forest Road 3500 on the Kenton-Ontonagon/Bergland Ranger Districts.
The Forest Service began replacing a culvert on FR 3500 at Glitter Creek on July 23. To facilitate the maintenance, FR 3500 will be closed south of Lake Thirteen Road on the northern section and at the junction of FR 3660 on the south. When the existing culvert is removed, no vehicular traffic will be allowed, and this section of road will be closed to through traffic. Travelers will be able to access Lower Dam from Lake Thirteen Road. Work is expected to be completed by July 31.
Remember to use caution when traveling on forest roadways, adhere to speed limits, and directional signage.
