We’re down to the “Sweet 16″ and one step closer to crowning a champion in the Last Dance World Series.
Only 16 teams remain after the tournament began last week with 222 squads taking the field from across the state. After a week of pool play, 32 teams advanced to the tournament’s first elimination round played Tuesday at several sites like Yogi Berra Stadium in Little Falls and FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood.
Tuesday’s winners advanced to the Sweet 16 with four quarterfinals set in the North Region and four more in the South Region.
Games in the North Region will be split into two double-headers at Skylands Stadium in Augusta and Yogi Berra Stadium. The four games in the South Region will all be played Wednesday at FirstEnergy Stadium.
