Traffic patterns on the Texas Street Bridge will be shifting again over the weekend.
At approximately 10 p.m. Sunday, the westbound inside and eastbound inside lanes of the bridge will be closed. Traffic will be shifted to the outside eastbound and westbound lanes, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
The traffic shift is necessary for the continuing work of the $15.5 million rehabilitation project.
The bridge, also known as Long-Allen Bridge, was built in 1934 and services approximately 11,900 vehicles per day.
