Summary Evaluations, which evaluate employee performance from January 1 through December 31 of the previous year, are completed in the first quarter of the year, January 1 – March 30.
Both a job aid and a webinar are available to assist you and your employees in documenting your summary evaluations within the Performance Management Development Program (PMDP).
Additionally, three PMDP enhancements are now live in PMDP:
- Ability to view the Criteria for Success
- Ability to view the employee’s position description (combination of the standard job description responsibilities and the unique responsibilities)
- Ability to import the responsibilities into a Thirty Day Conversation
A job aid summarizing these enhancements, a job aid explaining how these features support performance conversations, and a webinar are available for reference as well.
Conducting performance evaluations are important as the University of Wisconsin–Madison is committed to supporting all employees to meet their career and professional goals, as well as supporting the university’s need to maintain a high-performing workforce. They are also required by UW-Madison’s Performance Management for Managers and Supervisors Policy.
