The show centers on the Chicago Bulls’ 1997-98 season but also focuses on the enigmatic Michael Jordan with never-before-seen footage of players, coaches and management working behind the scenes. Jordan and the Bulls allowed NBA Entertainment cameras to follow them throughout the season and document their final championship run, which put a cap on what was one of the league’s most storied basketball dynasties.

Jordan, who is well-known for being fierce competitor on the court and a tight-lipped personality off it, has kept a lid on the series until now. With several stories of turmoil surrounding the Bulls dynasty in their final season, the six-time NBA champion has expressed worry that the footage will make him look like “a horrible guy,” but he also felt it was time to have the footage released. For example, Jordan reportedly punched former teammate and current Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr in the face during a practice during the 1997-98 season. That’s just one of what will likely be several revealing anecdotes discussed in the show.
