The majority of the Malibu Library’s programs have not been canceled at this time, though some of its programs in partnership with other organizations got the axe amid coronavirus concerns, library staff confirmed.
Among those cancellations are two events in collaboration with Pepperdine University — the Classical Guitar Concert, previously scheduled for Friday, March 13, and the Speaker Series featuring David Wallace-Wells, scheduled for April 1 — and one in collaboration with the City: the Call to the Wall Poetry Summit scheduled for March 28.
Create Chinese Calligraphy, previously scheduled to occur from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Malibu Senior Center will now be held at the Malibu Library, 23519 Civic Center Way. The course, with instructor Emmy Lam, will teach participants of any experience level how to write 24 Chinese characters
