Consumers may find more empty shelves at their grocery stores, supermarkets, and retail businesses. Farmers may not be able to locate truck drivers to haul their livestock. U-S Senator Chuck Grassley says the situation is unacceptable, and he blames the Biden administration for failing to reduce inflation. Grassley says the high price of fuel will not only lead to higher food prices, but it could easily lead to food shortages. One study shows more than 3,000 truck drivers have quit the business within the last few months.
