Oskar Sundqvist will start the regular season on injured reserve, but he's also been skating with the team during their bonding trip this week in Vail.
Sundqvist has been out of the lineup since suffering a torn ACL last March that ended his season. He underwent surgery and spent most of the offseason rehabbing in St. Louis.
"He's progressing like we thought he would," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said recently. "He's on a good timetable I think. He's working hard, doing a lot of good work in the gym. He's out there getting some skating in with the team, (but) he can't do every drill.
"I'm not going to put a timetable on Sunny, it's a little too early for that in my opinion," Berube added. "So we'll just keep hammering away at him and keep working him until he feels like he's ready to perform."
Sundqvist recorded nine points (four goals, five assists) in 28 games last season before the injury.
